Audiobooks and new paperbacks

The Jewel in the crown of the Hexagonal East has gone on sale at amblingbooks.com in audio format.

End Game will be available there from 6th August.

I have recently completed the new novel The Long Dark Shadow.

The reason I have neglected to write for so long is I have been on holiday to The Gower in Wales.

Perhaps there will be a novel set there soon.

After End Game has completed the narrator will start work on Gold Digger.

Progress

So after much deliberation I have decided to put the books into audio book format and have found a narrator willing to turn the 17 or 18 of them into that. They won't be in reading order as work has already started on Jewel in the Crown of the Hexagonal East, but I have always wanted to expand into every format possible and finally that seems achievable at last.

Last few months

How to explain the last few months.

Well I have published two new books. Altar Ego and Baptism of Fire. Available on Kindle.
All books are available through Amazon via Createspace.

Also Feedaread.com a second publisher.

In early October my grandfather died. He was 89 and a war veteran. I haven't felt like writing much since his death.

DI Ivor Gunn Book 3

So the 3rd DI Ivor Gunn story is ready sooner than I expected. I'm writing solidly as my creative bank flows.

The new book was published today on Amazon Kindle.

It will be available on Smashwords on 9th August

It's final title is Trip Down Memory Lane.

I've mapped out two more of the Ivor Gunn titles with the final one yet to inspire.

So I recently published a new book, Cold Hard Truth, the 2nd DI Ivor Gunn Mystery. The Amazon Kindle version was published on 19th July 2013 and the Smashwords edition on 30th July 2013.

I'm currently working on the 3rd book in the series, due to be released sometime later this year.

Life changing

Well the last few months have been potentially life-changing. However that's a story for another time, when things are a little more settled.

My first pay cheque from Amazon has come through. Just £11 but still a start.

The first book in my new series has been published. It's called The Zodiac Conspiracy.

Catch ups

So I haven't been around for a while. So I finally got a year older. Went to see my best friend, his fiancee and my godson. Hung out with my blind friend, enjoying the sun.

Q & A

A late work night tonight. All books are now in the Smashwords.com Premium Catalogue. Hoping to sell a Kindle edition to Amazon eventually. So onwards and upwards. I have recently met an avid fan of my debut novel "End Game," so am doing a private personal Q & A session with her on Thursday. Big hi to Sara Buck.

You know me dear fans, I like the personal touch. But as I've said before I'm nothing if not unique. You need to establish a fan base right?

So it's been a while since I wrote. But I've been busy. I've published a new book. The Irony of de Ja vu. It was published on 13th January 2013. The sixth book in the series. Though it is the last to directly concern DS Steven Potter, do not rule out him making cameo appearances in other books.

The new novel Sober Intoxication is under way and I'm hoping to publish by mid April at the latest. So the books are starting to break even now. The first month's profits were paid for the last quarter of 2012. Hopefully with more to come.

Happy New Year

So it's been an eventful year. Six books published and another in the works. Plus the sequel to The Legend of the Talking Sword, which I know was promised in October 2012, but thanks to family circumstances it has been necessary to postpone the project temporarily.

News

I know it's been a while since I wrote anything, but it's been a busy few months so please forgive me. I published Millionaire Playpen and after much effort and many alternations got it accepted into the Smashwords Premium catalogue. It is now available in major stores e.g. iTunes.

Visited friends and had chill out time. My grandfather has been in poor health recently so I lost the inclination to be creative.


Then I published Gemini Blood on 18th November. Again available in stores such as iTunes. Then there was Christmas shopping and then I spent Christmas Eve day with my best friend, his fiancée and their son.

Christmas was a quiet family occasion and I look forward to finding out what 2013 brings.

Updates

What have I been up to since last time I wrote. Well here goes.

Three of my books are now in the Premium Catalogue. Selling steadily with the 5% free samples going healthily up to.

The 3rd DS Steven Potter novel was published a few days ago on Smashwords.com and is waiting to be assessed for inclusion in the catalogue.

I've not long returned from a visit to the home of my ldes childhood friend, which I'm honest was a good break. Got to concentrate on spending time with my 2 year old godson, rather than my sales figures.

Went to the cinema with a friend this afternoon to watch the Sweeney starring Ray Winstone. A good film if you like mindless violence. It was good to escape from reality for a while, as well as giving me ideas for future DS Potter novels.

I now want to take it in a new direction so watch this space. Ambitious maybe, but one of these days I might be watching an adaptation of one of my own novels in a cinema.

I will however be insisting on a good quality film. I mean adaptations of films based on Darren Shan novels and Anthony Horowitz works haven't been so hot have they?

Premium Catalogue

So the book has made it into the Premium Catalogue and will be shipping to major retailers soon. I'm currently working on The Legend of the Talking Sword, which will be part of a different series and available upon its completion.

Progress

So the sample downloads are slowly creeping up, which is good. I have a business strategy now. Hopefully someone will like the 5% free sample enough to buy it, read it and tell their friends how much they enjoyed it. The drafts for the 2nd novel are not getting very far.

I have uploaded onto Smashwords a new book cover design for "End Game". That's what I bought the giant dice for. I am if anything unique. I have ideas brewing for the cover design of the next novel already.

Originality

"End Game" has now sold 4 copies. Admittedly to my mother, but hey. Beggars can't be choosers right? As yet it hasn't been distributed to Amazon or anywhere because I have yet to come up with a design for a decent book cover. That's what the giant dice are for. Don't ask. I'm original, either that or crazy. After all I did see a shrink once in my youth.

Last minute edits are currently underway on my 2nd novel in the series, due out at the end of August
